Lexi & Chris Huggins Bass Lake Wedding

Lexi & Chris Huggins Bass Lake Wedding

June 25, 2015

Bass Lake Park - 900 Bass Lake Road,  Holly Springs, NC

Bass Lake Park provides a natural elegance for your special event. The park’s facilities and grounds are a perfect blend of sophistication and the simplicity of nature.

The deck was all set up for the ceremony

The view from my wedding table looking out to the guest

The groom stands with me awaiting his beautiful bride!

Lexi’s father Helmut walks her down the aisle to her future husband
And the ceremony begins

As I speak the words, the love flows from the hands of this couple so committed to each other.

Chris slides Lexi’s wedding band on her finger.

Lexi returns the love by placing his ring on his finger.
The guests really respond positively at promising to helping Chris & Lexi hold steadfast to their vows.

Now we begin the 4 Ribbon Handfasting ceremony.
Each of the 4 ribbons used were in different colours. Green for earth, white for air, red for fire and blue for water.
I ask them a question as I place each ribbon between their fingers.

The first ribbon in the colour Green for Earth is placed between their fingers. I ask,
Will you honor and respect one another,
and seek to never break that honor?
At the third ribbon being placed between their fingers I ask
“Will you share the burdens of each so that your spirits may grow in this union?”

After the 4th ribbon in blue was placed between their fingers it was time to tie them all together is a knot. I say,
Lexi & Chris, as your hands are bound together now,
so your lives and spirits are joined in a union of love and trust.
It was a touching ceremony and the couple will keep the knotted ribbons as a keepsake.

The first Kiss is always so romantic

Here I present the newly married couple to their guests

Happily walking down the aisle as
Mr. & Mrs. Huggins!

The Sanders Family Sand Ceremony 7 7 15

Intimate - Elegant – Enchanted - Backyard Weddings

Intimate - Elegant – Enchanted - Backyard Weddings

Any of those words can describe your Backyard wedding!
Both the ceremony and reception are held at one place and you can choose how you want to decorated it. Free from restrictions, dates available and time slots.

Simple yet beautifully decorated ceremony spot
Some of the money saved from not renting a venue can be used on decorations to create any theme you desire.  Simple to Luxurious!
 Express your own style.

Also with the extra money saved you can build a reception area to create an atmosphere that is all about you.

You can have it catered from a simple BQ, to as fancy as a plated menu to pot luck and it will all fit.

Add Games for everyone’s fun!
Don’t forget you can serve the best summer time desserts
Or maybe you’re more country and want to wear your cowboy boots. Add bales of hay covered with blankets for your guests to sit on, serve the food on paper plates and play country music.

I love a beautiful and intimate backyard wedding.
You can allow all your guests to feel relaxed and at home, while enjoying the natural beauty of the day.
Think about what style you would like to have for your wedding and what things you can include to make it all blend together.
Elegance can be achieved be dressing up the area. Create an elegant ceremony spot with an arch covered in tulle and flowers.
Add columns topped with silk flowers flowing down over the edges to stand between and say your  “I Dos”.
Or Roll out the RED carpet!
Cover the receptions tables with linen tablecloths in colours that match your elegant theme.  You can easily bring the flavour of an indoor venue to your backyard wedding.

Enchanted weddings are only limited by your imagination.
Maybe you’ve always dreamed of a princess ball wedding
or vintage themed wedding.
It’s all up to you!

You may wish to dress in costume and even ask your guests to do the same.
Contact your nearest Event wedding supply company and shop to get supplies and ideas.
I recommend: A Special Event
We customize our services to meet your specific needs and budget.  Early setup and late breakdowns for tents, furniture and other items are not a problem.  Going the extra mile to deliver you a truly Special Event is what we excel in.

You can use everything available to you in the backyard to create the atmosphere you desire. Hang decorations from tree branches.

Use a border fence as a decorated backdrop.

Once you’ve chosen the style/theme wedding you want, the ideas will flow and your friends will want to help decorate too.

There’s just one last thing that you must do!
Hire a legally ordained wedding officiant to write and perform your ceremony.
And just to help you out, that’s me!

Designing a luxurious wedding ceremony

Designing a luxurious wedding ceremony
~ The Venue ~
Selecting your wedding ceremony site should be one of the first things you do in the planning process. The premier locations book up fast and far in advance so if you have your heart set on a special place don't hesitate.
If you envision a formal grand ballroom atmosphere you can find that here!

Grand Marquise Ballroom
225 New Fidelity Court, Garner, NC 27529 -
919-773-0013

The spectacular setting at the Grand Marquis Ballroom will set the tone for your truly elegant wedding.

The marble Grand Entry Parlor is a perfect first impression

with its marvelous decor of marble columns, ornate trim and coffer ceilings adorned with crystal chandeliers.

Their breathtaking mezzanine balcony is the home of the private bride and groom’s quarters. The grand iron staircase is the best backdrop for anyone’s magical moment.

Customized Monogrammed Marble Dance Floor and Tailored Down lighting with your Customized Hue are all included.

Their Louis XIV style interior would make anyone feel like Royalty!

~ The Wedding Officiant ~

Selecting your wedding Officiant/Minister is next on the list of priorities. Like venues Officiants are often booked well ahead of time and you must book early to get your special date.

(Because this is my Blog I’ll plug myself)

Rev. Samantha L. Heart

When you want a wedding ceremony that is not only written just for you and about your special love for each other, it should also be elegantly tailored to fit your luxurious surroundings.
Your officiant should be able to offer you many options to include in your ceremony that will convey your commitment to one another and allow for personal interaction with family and friends.

Having your children included in the ceremony creates a bonded family

Having your parents or other important family members included in your ceremony unites both families as one

I, Rev. Samantha L. Heart have been writing and performing various ceremonies since 1992.
Having been solely dedicated to wedding ceremonies in North Carolina for the past 5 years, I have the experience to deliver your perfect ceremony that will be held in your hearts and memories for many years.

~ The Wedding Event Planner ~
Many couples may hire their wedding planner first and then follow with the venue and Officiant.
Choose a wedding and event planning company that specializes in exquisite weddings. It is their job to assist with the design, planning and management of your wedding.

At LadyBird Events, we take your wedding preparations off your shoulders but never out of your hands. That starts with a personal consultation where we get to know the two of – your style, your stories. Then we combine meticulous planning with impeccable attention to detail to plan the wedding of your dreams. Which leaves you free to relax and enjoy the most important day of your lives.

~ The Ceremony Music ~
When designing a luxurious wedding ceremony it is a must to hire live musicians. Adding live music to your wedding ceremony creates a beautiful mood by adding a touch of the luxe. Guests cannot help but smile as they arrive hearing gorgeous string music!
How does the sound of the violin make you feel?
When the bride heard the gorgeous sound of the violin calling her down the aisle, she felt as if each wonderful note was being played only for her; only for her heart to feel the love she felt as the melody graced her ears.
Udeshi Hargett is a Professional Violinist who performs solo at weddings, special events and concerts. She often provides duos, trios and quartets as needed by the client.

~ The Ceremony Photographer ~
Photography is the cornerstone of your wedding’s memories and the right picture will instantly take you back to the happiest day of your life.
Telling the story of your love and romance starts with choosing a wedding photographer who is professional, experienced and someone you can be comfortable with thus enabling you to relax and be at ease in front of the camera.

They say that a picture is worth a thousand words but wedding photos are more than that, they are instant memories and something that will be cherished for the rest of your married life.

Now that you have seen how to put it all together contact me and I’ll help make it happen!
